french toast

Ingredients:

 

1/2 a Loaf of Bread, sliced 

1 Cup of Plain Flour

1 1/2 Cups of Non-Dairy Milk

2 Tbsp of Maple Syrup

1 Tsp of Vanilla

Pinch of Salt

1/2 Tbsp of Cinnamon

Vegan Butter or Vegetable Oil, to cook

Steps:

  1.  In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon and salt

  2.  Add in dairy free milk and maple syrup, mix until just combined

  3.  Heat a large fry pan over medium heat with oil or vegan butter

  4.  Submerge individual bread slices in the batter to coat

  5.  In batches, add the coated bread to the heated fry pan and let cook on each side until lightly browned and crisp

  6.  Repeat with the remaining bread slices

  7.  Serve with whipped coconut cream, maple syrup and fresh berries

  8.  Enjoy!
